ABOUT

This was in Rovaniemi, Finland. This was the first of many trips I travelled by myself to gain new experiences.

I'm from Westminster, Colorado, and lived in Colorado for most of my life. I grew up in a church, which influenced me to become the person I am today. Faith is a big part of my life, and I would not be where I am today without the help of God.

Sports have always been a huge part of my life as well. I played sports all though out grade school and high school, and it wasn't until high school that I started playing volleyball. During my junior year of high school, I was offered a full ride scholarship to Colorado State University (CSU). I accepted and played for CSU for 4.5 years. I received a bachelor's degree in Health and Exercise Science with a concentration in health promotion. I earned Academic All-Conference in 2013 and All-Conference in 2013 and 2014.

After college, I had the opportunity to play professional volleyball in Germany. I played for one season, and that one season changed my life. I learned to live on my own and experience new cultures. I travelled to different countries and was able to experience different ways of life. I love to travel now, and experience new things. While in Germany, my knees broke down, and I was unable to play for another season so I needed to figure out what I wanted to do for a career. My dad had suggested I look into broadcasting and digital media. I looked into it and knew it would be a career I would love.

I applied to the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communication at Syracuse University and was accepted into the Broadcast and Digital Journalism graduate program with a sports communication emphasis. I love new/digital media and love working in the industry.
